I will be going for the MAISON & OBJET design tradeshow at the end of January….Typically, I am NOT a gal who enjoys winter, but with the appropriate winter wear, I will be hard pressed to spend a moment indoors with such beauty to immerse myself in outdoors!

1. Summer Chairs in Winter Paris, 2. The last winter in Paris, 3. Tree path, 4. Paris in the winter when it drizzles, 5. Paris in winter 2, 6. Au pied de la tour, 7. Metro sign in a Paris winter., 8. winter in Paris - Arc de Triomphe - colour, 9. Paris_winter_rainy–Lovely-day!

With my newfound LOVE of cooking and baking, it is fun to imagine dream kitchens and dining rooms. a couple days ago I blogged about potential future dining rooms….well, that was fun, but not realistic…quite honestly I like the IDEA of that particular dining room, but if I really could do anything, it would be a lot more organic feeling and relaxed, although I absolutely appreciate so many styles.
THis is definite inspiration for potential kitchens….i love this because it’s so open and easy and well, the fact that the entire wall is made of sliding glass doors that open up to the outside! One can’t ignore the amazing swing….I can see myself sitting in the swing studying up on the recipes I am about to make. I love the orange flooring, it feels very playful, yet adult somehow. I also cannot help but notice the fact that along the left wall, near the bottom seems to be a large wine collection (i see the tops of the bottles), I like that and the awesome fireplace and of course, the chalkboard painted small wall ( a necessity ).

If you have not yet had a chance to visit the current Jorge Pardo exhibition at MOCA, I STRONGLY encourage you to do so before it moves on in mid December.
To walk through this “house” was so incredibly inspiring and, truth be told, made me long to be back living in California amongst all the warm climate vegetation and incredible mid-century architecture I always found so beautiful. There was a lot going on around Cleveland it’s opening night, so I feel like I kind of rushed through it and so will be sure to go back and spend more time with it sometime soon.
from MOCA website:
Jorge Pardo: House highlight the artist’s ability to consistently traverse the boundaries between art, design, and architecture. These vignettes of household areas – a kitchen, office, living room, bedroom or garden – reveal how Pardo’s inventive works conflate seemingly distinct genres to defy meaning. In keeping with the genre-crossing characteristics of Pardo’s work,Jorge Pardo: House will also extend beyond the space of the museum itself to encompass several of Pardo’s site-specific projects installed around the world. These projects will be presented as photomurals, and viewers will be provided with information on visiting the sites themselves….click HERE for entire text.
