Over the last year, I have received so many compliments on my store’s branding.  I am always sure to let people know that it was done by the amazing Cleveland-based firm, Epstein Design Partners. To my surprise though, I received an email from the lovely Tammy, whom I met when her and her comedian husband started shopping at ROOM SERVICE, telling me that she just saw in GRAPHIC DESIGN MAGAZINE that, Epstein had won a graphic design award for it!

 I was turned on to Epstein because of the logo package they designed for Russell Lee Photo, which won tons of big design awards, and rightfully so, as it is really cool.  David at Epstein was the designer on the project and quite frankly, I gave him very little to go on for inspiration. All  I told him was that my inspiration for the feel I wanted to convey in the logo was 1920’s hotel, but why should that have meant the same thing to him as it did to me? The odds were that it wouldn’t, but we were on the same page right off and he nailed it.  So I am happy for him that it was recognized.

The images are from the magazine that Tammy so thoughtfully scanned for me.  PS her husband is performing at the improv TONIGHT!  Wouldn’t that be a super fun thing to do with all your friends and family in town for the holidays!!
